Wills And Trusts Lawyers Sued By Disappointed Heirs
Although a few states, such as New York and Texas, do not allow heirs to sue a decedent's estate planning lawyers, most states allow the lawsuits.
The lawsuits are based on allegations ranging from claims that simple errors deprived beneficiaries of their rightful inheritances to claims based upon adverse tax consequences of certain bequests, such as inherited stocks.
