Massachusetts Attorney General Claims CSFB Stock Reports Misled Investors

Credit Suisse First Boston joins Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney in facing allegations that its investment research analysts touted stocks publicly while panning them privately.

The administrative complaint, filed by the Massachusetts Attorney General, focuses upon CSFB's investment banking star Frank Quattrone. It echoes the allegations of the complaint filed against Merrill Lynch by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer.
