Customers Settle for Millions Against Merrill Stockbrokers

So far Merrill Lynch has paid $4.4 million to customers of its Indiana broker Mark David Leavitt, 45, whom it fired last December.

Additionally, Merrill Lynch has paid $7.1 million to settle claims against its Massachusetts broker, Dick Greene.

Both brokers allegedly made unsuitable recommendations of volatile tech stocks to clients.
